Smith Maintenance is a leading provider of synthetic sports surface maintenance across the country. We maintain 3G/Hockey pitches, Tennis/Netball courts, Polymeric surfaces, Playgrounds and Athletics Tracks. We carry out an extensive range of maintenance procedures from weekly drag-brushing through to Major Surface Rejuvenation treatments, to extend the life span of the synthetic surface.

Due to increased demand for our services, we are looking for an experienced, self-motivated and reliable individual to join our team.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high standard of care and pride in their work. This position does require early starts, long hours and working away from home (expenses and accommodation provided).

The main duties will be to set out and apply initial markings on new surfaces and over-mark existing lines on our client’s sports surfaces. At times you will be required to help our Maintenance team maintain the sport surfaces to a very high standard.

The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Application of product in accordance with the rules of the appropriate sport
  • Competent in various methods of line marking application
  • Operating plant & machinery
  • Good customer service
  • Good communication skills
  • Working to an agreed schedule
  • Some lone working
  • Driving distances and working away from home

The ideal candidate MUST hold the following:

  • A CSCS Card
  • A full clean UK Driving Licence
  • A C1 Licence (or test passed before January 1997)

And have at least 1 year’s experience in line marking.

The successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS as many of our clients are schools and universities.
