SIS Group is a world leading group of companies in the manufacture of artificial grass and in the design, construction, installation, maintenance, and aftercare of synthetic and natural sports pitches throughout the UK and overseas. With a growing number of nationwide UK projects, particularly within the educational and sports sectors, SIS Pitches is seeking a competent Maintenance Site Operative.

This role will be involved in supporting all aspects of maintenance of SIS and client installations, ensuring that work is carried out effectively and efficiently, providing the customer with constant quality of product and aftercare service. The work will involve varied locations nationally throughout the UK, working on football and rugby pitches, cricket pitches, tennis courts and multi-user games areas.

A full valid driving licence is essential as you will be required to travel between sites. CSCS and plant tickets are an advantage. Full training will be given, although some experience in sports pitch installation or groundsman-ship would be welcome. The ideal candidate would be able to show they can work hard, be a team-player, take pride in their work and show flexibility along with a willingness to learn and adapt. You should enjoy working outdoors and be willing to support the business during peak summer months. You need to be prepared to work away from home during the week.

You must be able to follow instructions and method statements; with a passion and commitment to the delivery of a high-quality customer-focused service. Good communication skills, a friendly outlook, and an ability to find solutions rather than see problems are key to this role. An ability to think for yourself and identify risks is critical, as is a commitment to quality and health and safety.
