The company estimates that, based on the average-sized football pitch, Eco-Fix eliminates a minimum of 5 million microplastic particles from polluting ecosystems.
Eco-Fix is available in two different solvent-free high-bond versions, Eco-Fix Sport and Eco-Fix Leisure. Eco-Fix Sport is suitable for all synthetic grass sport surfaces, while Eco-Fix Leisure is designed for landscaping applications.
Both versions comprise a two-component polyurethane-based adhesive system. Eco-Fix Sport Adhesive is used in conjunction with a suitable application machine, and spread on to a tape from a notched application tray. It cures to provide a tough flexible film, primarily designed for bonding artificial grass carpets to seam-jointing tapes to produce a strong invisible joint. It produces joints which are 50% stronger than is possible with standard two-part adhesives. It also allows installation in adverse weather conditions and, with the addition of ‘Rapid Set’ accelerator, can also be used in winter temperatures, as low as 3 – 5ºC.
Eco-Fix Leisure Adhesive is primarily designed for bonding artificial grass carpets to seam-jointing tapes to produce a strong invisible joint along the carpet joints. The mixed adhesive is poured from the tub directly down the centre of the tape, or into a suitable application machine. It is then spread by notched trowel. It is suitable for bonding all synthetic grass carpets to geo-textile tapes.
