ABG Limited

Manufacturer & Supplier

ABG specialises in providing environmental protection systems for wide range of building and civil engineering applications. Included within the range is a specialist sports package aimed squarely at muga applications; this range includes specialist composites for use in drainage, water attenuation and contamination isolation, geogrids for sub-base reinforcement and geotextiles for separation and filtration.

Formed in 1988, ABG remains a privately owned company with its own manufacturing plant at Meltham, in the heart of the Pennines. This central location provides good access via the motorway network to all parts of the UK. A distribution network has been established which covers most parts of the world and exports play an important role in the future development of the company. ABG has developed an excellent reputation for quality products and service and this has resulted in a steady and continuing growth in turnover.

The products have gained approval by leading UK and international authorities. Our reference list of completed schemes includes many prestigious projects – largest landfill capping in UK, first environmental capping in Morocco, largest capping in Portugal, world first tunnel invert drain, 30,000 m2 roof garden in Hong Kong, 20,000 m2 playing field drainage RAF Wattisham.

Research and development are given high priority. Collaborative research is undertaken with Universities to develop improved design methods. Laboratory facilities are used to undertake regular quality control testing, product development and to provide clients with specific design values. The ability for rapid product development ensures that ABG can supply the most innovative, up to date and cost effective solution to most engineering problems.
