The British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI) was formed in 1972 to provide a voice for contractors, designers, industry suppliers and training providers and to raise professional standards across the landscaping industry. As a founder member of the Joint Council for Landscape Industries it lobbies Government on issues that affect its membership and the wider industry and, as the UK representative body within the European Landscape Contractors Association (ELCA), it lobbies the European Parliament with affiliated pan-Europe Associations.
BALI membership goes from strength to strength. Contractors and designers seeking membership of BALI must fulfil stringent entry criteria, including on-site assessment of recently completed and current projects, and must submit to a regular Quality Standards review. This ensures that standards of workmanship and professionalism are upheld and that the BALI logo remains synonomous with professional excellence and customer service. Its prestigious annual BALI National Landscape Awards reward excellence amongst its members.
