Redefining Sustainability in the Sports Industry

SPORTEX Recycling is a pioneering division of The SPORTEX Group, dedicated to providing sustainable solutions for the sports industry’s recycling needs. With a commitment to environmental stewardship and innovation, SPORTEX Recycling aims to become a leading name in the field, offering comprehensive recycling services tailored specifically to end-of-life artificial turf.

Our bespoke recycling plant in Grangemouth, Scotland, has the ability to process up to 500,000m2 of synthetic turf every year; preventing an estimated 17,500 tonnes of classified waste from entering landfill every year. By recycling 100% of old sports pitches, all reclaimed materials can be reused in the construction or refurbishment of new synthetic turf sports fields… eliminating thousands of tonnes of classified waste from going to landfill every year.

Sportex Recycling offers a range of specialised services designed to address the unique recycling requirements of the sports industry, including:

Synthetic Turf Recycling:
Utilising advanced techniques, we responsibly recycle synthetic turf materials, diverting them from landfills and converting them into reusable resources, such as recycled plastic kickboards.

Rubber and Sand Particle Recycling:
Once separated from the disposed carpet, the rubber and sand particles are isolated, cleaned and bagged, in order to be re-used in new synthetic turf installations.

We are specialists – our attention to detail, quality, care and customer service are what sets us apart. We want to be your lifetime supplier – so just ask for a no obligation site visit or expert advice.
