SAPCA member, Avon Road Mark Ltd, is this year celebrating its 50th anniversary.
Founded on 1 May 1975 by Chris Holbrook and Philip Lazenbury, the company has grown from its original two-man team to 14 employees and has become a specialist in providing line-marking and colour coating services to create, preserve and refresh sports and play facilities.
Phil Lazenbury decided to take his well-earned retirement in 2023, while Chris Holbrook continues as company Director as the company enters its 51st year of operations.
“We have built an excellent reputation for success within the commercial, leisure and educational sectors providing a quality, value-for-money service,” Holbrook says.
“As a team, we remain true to our core commitment to offer free advice, design and practical solutions responding quickly and efficiently to clients’ needs whatever their requirements.”
Working closely with it’s main contractors Avon Road Mark’s recent projects include work to renovate and enhance 17 basketball courts in Birmingham as a result of legacy funding from the Commonwealth Games 2022 and the refurbishment of public tennis courts across the country under the LTA’s Park Tennis Project.
