Chiltern Sports Contractors are delighted to have signed an exclusive agreement with Spanish Padel Court manufacturer “Rigan Sports” for the supply and installation of their padel courts in the UK.
Padel is a game adapted from tennis and named in Acapulco, Mexico by Enrique Corcuera in 1969 (although a similar game had been played for many years prior).
It is most popular in Spain and Hispanic countries such as Argentina and Mexico however over the last three years it has grown massively across Europe, particularly in Belgium, France, Italy, Netherlands and Sweden. Finally, interest is rising rapidly in the UK along with other Scandinavian Countries.
The game is a mix between tennis and squash and is usually played in doubles on an enclosed court surrounded by walls of tempered glass and wire mesh, on a court with the same layout as a standard tennis court but smaller.
Chiltern Sports Contractors are now able to offer the design, supply and installation of Padel Courts with bespoke customisation to suit site logistics along with a unique five year guarantee on the main structural frame.
Chiltern Managing Director, Andy Burrell commented: “The combination of Rigan Sports expertise, unique innovative approach to design rather than fixed standard court models and our customers focused ethos in the UK market is perfect.”
