For some time, SAPCA has intended to update its code of practice for natural turf sports surfaces.
Recently, Sport England updated its own Natural Turf for Sport design guide. Following discussions with our Technical Lead, Colin Corline, we have concluded that there is no reason for us to replicate the excellent document.
Therefore, working with Sport England, we will treat the Natural Turf for Sport design guide as we would a SAPCA Code of Practice.
This means that SAPCA members working on natural turf projects will need to follow the guidelines in the document, as they would those outlined in a traditional SAPCA Code of Practice.
