Entries are now open for the SAPCA Awards, which will celebrate their 10th anniversary next year!
First launched in 2015, the awards celebrate the quality and excellence of SAPCA members and their work. From a single winner in 2015, the awards have grown in stature and scale and now celebrate facility projects, people, products and services, showcasing the wide range of innovation, technical excellence and reliability held across the SAPCA membership.
In total, there are six award categories in which winners and finalists will be picked:
• Large Sports or Play Project of the Year (over £350k)
• Small Sports or Play Project of the Year (under £350k)
• Product of the Year
• Sustainability Award
• SAPCA Person of the Year
• SAPCA Young Person of the Year (people under the age of 30)
As well as technical excellence and overall quality, the awards will highlight the positive impact that SAPCA members (through high-quality sports and play construction projects, products and services) have on those who benefit from it the most – the people and communities who are the end users. SAPCA will do this by highlighting the social value generated by the winners – in particular in the two project categories.
Entries for the SAPCA Awards 2025 can be submitted by anyone. You can do so here.
This means that the sports clubs, local authorities and other organisations that have benefitted from the work of SAPCA members will be able to highlight the great projects and services that our member companies deliver.
The winners of the awards will be revealed at the SAPCA Awards Dinner, which will take place following the SAPCA Conference on Thursday 27 February 2025 at Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester.
Award submissions can be made via an online form here. SAPCA members can enter themselves – or each other – in as many categories as they want. There is also no limit to the number of entries to any given category.
Projects can also be entered in multiple categories – for example, for both the “Large Project” and “Sustainability” awards.
