Apprentice electrician, Lewis Turnbull, was named finalist for the 2025 SAPCA Young Person of the Year award. Lewis began his journey with SAPCA member, Halliday Lighting, as an apprentice and successfully qualified in 2024, marking a significant milestone in his career.
From the outset, Lewis has stood out as a keen team player who is always eager to expand his knowledge and skills. His dedication, passion for learning and commitment to excellence have made him an integral part of the Halliday team and a driving force behind its success.
He consistently goes above and beyond in his role, contributing to the growth of Halliday Lighting. His technical acumen and proactive attitude have played a key role in ensuring the success of numerous projects, enabling the business to deliver high-quality results for our clients.
Beyond his own achievements, Lewis has embraced a mentorship role, guiding and supporting a new wave of apprentices. He leads by example, demonstrating professionalism, a strong work ethic and a commitment to teamwork. His willingness to invest time and effort into developing others reflects his maturity and leadership potential, qualities that will be invaluable as he continues to grow within the organization.
