Premier Sports Surfaces, a SAPCA Principal Contractor, has appointed Steven Goff to its team as Maintenance Account Manager. A well-known figure in the industry and former National Account Manager at Sports Coatings, Steve brings his wealth of experience to enhance the company’s already high-performing sales team.

In his role, Steve will focus on developing the maintenance and small works division, complementing the expertise of the existing staff to support their ambitious plans to further expand their maintenance division in 2024.

With over 34 years of experience, Premier Sports Surfaces is a specialist in sports surfacing and grounds maintenance and currently employs two dedicated Maintenance Operatives who provide year-round care for synthetic sports surfaces across a diverse clientele. The company has demonstrated impressive growth, boasting a 70% increase in turnover since 2021. Notably, Premier Sports Surfaces distinguishes itself with in-house teams for tarmac and artificial grass laying, as well as a specialised team for colour spraying and line marking —an embodiment of their commitment to excellence in every aspect of sports surface management.

Commenting on his new role at Premier Sports Surfaces, Steve says: “I’m delighted to continue working in the sports construction sector and I am delighted to take up my new role at Premier Sports Surfaces and hope to use my industry knowledge to develop the business. Premier Sports Surfaces have an excellent reputation within the industry and having had successful past relations as a supplier, I join knowing the team and standards that the company works to and will continue to deliver those. The future and vision of the company presents an exciting challenge to get my teeth into”.

Premier Sports Surfaces, Managing Director, Louise Saunders says: “Ensuring the longevity of sports surfaces is paramount, and we recognise the critical role maintenance plays in achieving that goal. With the addition of Steve to our team, we are excited to expand our reach to new customers. Having a dedicated Maintenance Account Manager will not only enhance our service delivery but also afford Heidi and Paul, our other two sales staff members, the opportunity to concentrate more on delivering excellence in sports surface construction and refurbishment.”
