ENTRIES CLOSE IN

Entries are now open for the SAPCA Awards 2026 – so it is time to submit projects, services and other success stories for consideration! The annual awards recognise and celebrate excellence in sports and play facility projects, products, services, sustainability and innovation – as well as individuals working within the sector.
Launched in 2015, the awards have grown from a single award to six categories, highlighting the high standards and positive impact of the work of SAPCA members.
Anyone can suggest a completed project involving a SAPCA member, or a service or product offered by a SAPCA member, for an award. There are also two individual categories in which entries can be submitted.
The six award categories are:
• Large Sports or Play Project of the Year (over £350k)
• Small Sports or Play Project of the Year (under £350k)
• Product of the Year
• Sustainability Award
• SAPCA Person of the Year
• SAPCA Young Person of the Year (people under the age of 30)
SAPCA CEO, Richard Shaw, said: “As well as technical excellence and overall quality, the awards will also look to highlight the positive impact that SAPCA members, through high-quality sports and play construction projects, products and services, have on those who benefit from it the most – the people and communities who are the end users.
“That’s why we’re inviting the entire sports and play sector to highlight the great work of SAPCA members. If you have benefited from a facility project or a product involving SAPCA members – or have witnessed first-hand the individual excellence of our members – please let us know and submit an entry.”

The deadline for entries is Monday 1 December 2025. There is no limit to the number of entries to any given category. Projects can also be entered in multiple categories – for example, for both the “Large Project” and “Sustainability” awards.
