Sports Marketing Network (SMN) is an organisation where physical activity and community sports providers can share best practice on how to become vibrant, visible and viable and develop innovative enterprises.

Community sports clubs across the world are facing unprecedented challenges due to the outbreak of the coronavirus and we all have to adapt and learn from each other.

SMN have great examples of sports clubs engaging with members, partners and the community and displaying leadership and innovation.

  • How do we respond now, with clubs, facilities and centres closing down and events and classes, matches and festivals being cancelled?
  • How do we prepare for life afterwards? How do we get people back? How will people’s habits change and how can you respond?
  • What is our new ‘normal’ going to look like?

SMN have webinars on how community sports clubs can weather the COVID-19 crisis and prepare for the future.

SMN do not claim have all the answers but having worked with more than 4000 community sports clubs across the world they feel that it is important that we all share our thoughts and experiences from across the world. Copenhagen can learn from Sydney who can learn from Manchester, and basketball can learn from street sports and so on.

The format from this series is that you follow the links to SMN’s webinar pages. Each webinar begins with a brief presentation and viewers will then have the opportunity of sharing ideas and experiences on how they are dealing with this issue.

Upcoming Webinars in this series are:

The webinars will include case studies, templates and action plans from community sports clubs of all shapes and sizes, and SMN are convinced that they will provide community sports club leaders with real inspiration and support

To cover costs we are asking for £10 to attend each webinar.

Each of the webinars will last 40 minutes and they will be recorded and made available on SMN’s website.

If you have particular points you want us to cover please let SMN know.

SMN looks forward to hearing from you and, hopefully, you will want to join in.

PS. If you want to talk about booking SMN to run specific online support for your colleagues, clubs, providers and others, then please get in touch with Svend Elkjaer svend@smnuk.com or call 01423 326 660.
