Sereena Keymatlian

Sereena is Director of Haringey Play Association, which runs Somerford Grove Adventure Playground in Tottenham, London. She began working as a playworker in 1998 and has worked across a range of settings, including adventure playgrounds, schools, playschemes, community and estate-based play projects.

Sereena became Director of Haringey Play Association in 2010, combining the leadership and development of the charity with continued frontline practice at Somerford Grove Adventure Playground.

She has a particular interest in advocating for playwork and adventure playgrounds, and in protecting spaces where children have the freedom to direct their own play, take risks, build relationships and exercise genuine autonomy. Her practice is rooted in playwork and nearly three decades of working directly with children and communities.
