The latest issue of SportsNation, SAPCA’s official magazine, has now been published and is available to read online.
Issue 6/2024 has a focus on padel and includes a look at LTA’s strategy for the sport, which was published earlier this autumn. There are also examples of recent padel facility projects – with a number of SAPCA members included.
The recent SAPCA Technical Meeting is reviewed across four pages and there is also a column by SAPCA CEO, Richard Shaw, on why decisions over the types of sports facilities do not need to be about choosing a winner between health outcomes and the environment.
Elsewhere, the FA’s new grassroots strategy is examined in detail, including the NGB’s commitment to invest in 3G pitches. Three Olympians – Rebecca Adlington, Steve Parry and Adrian Turner – are also interviewed in a wide-ranging piece. The trio are looking to change the way leisure centres are developed in the UK.
